Breastfed Babies Normally Don’t Show Signs Of Acid Reflux

I went to visit a friend of mine whom just had a precious baby girl.  For whatever reason she decided not to breastfeed, and her daughter has been diagnosed with GERD better known as Acid Reflux.

I had the opportunity to feed her with the bottle formula, and a minute later when she had finished the bottle, the formula was coming back up.

Her mom says her pediatrician has prescribed her Prolisec? I said for a baby! Anyway, the mom said the medicines makes it even worse.

I just wish she would have chosen to breastfeed.  The stress of not knowing if your baby is getting enough to eat because after every feeding, it is coming back up is worrisome.

Breastfed babies does not have this severe problems of vomiting their milk back up.  Spit ups in small amounts is normal in breastfed babies as well as bottle fed babies.

For whatever, reason there is a tremendous increase in newborn babies with this problem.

I believe the manufactured formulas have to many foreign substances the human body cannot digest because it is not natural and that is the baby’s body way of saying, THIS SHOULD NOT BE IN MY SYSTEM.
