Is It Safe To Take AntiDepressants While Breastfeeding

December 4, 2008 · Filed Under Breastfeeding

I have received many questions concerning taking antidepressants while breastfeeding. First and foremost check with your doctor to find out pros and cons from the medicine.

I know when I was breastfeeding and having first time new mom stress and anxiety, my doctor told me to alleviate any additional stress.

Some anxiety is normal being a new mom or first time mom.

So once you hear and know some of that is normal you tend not to make such a big deal out of it and just know it comes with the territory and take it one day at a time.

I can’t overstress the TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME and before you know it your child will be in pre-k.

I would like to see more moms embrace motherhood and breastfeeding and when in doubt listen to your body,  your natural instinct that’s why we have it or your GUT feeling about whether or not it is RIGHT FOR YOU!

BE SUCCESSFUL AND SMART
