Toxic Chemical Melamine Found In Infant Formula In U.S.

November 29, 2008 · Filed Under Breastfeeding

The FDA announced on November 26, 2008 that there were small traces of melamine found in infant formulas made in America, however they, would not say the name of the manufacturing company.

It seems to me the FDA have more concern about the manufacturing company instead of the consumers.

You know this chemical melamine is used to disguise the amount of protein is added in infant formula.

If you recall this is the same chemical that was found in the China milk scandal where all the infants were becoming ill.

Word to the wise. Since there seem to be no regulations on what can be used in infant formulas, it would be in the best interest of all moms and mothers-to-be to become abreast about breastfeeding your newborn.

This seem to be the time to become an advocate not only for your health, but for your newborn health as well.
